KTEO Audit Procedure
The KTEO Papadopoulos in their state-of-the-art and comfortable installations they have automated technical control lines and are able to give reliable measurements without any hassle, easily, economically and quickly.
The technical inspection of the vehicles is performed by specialized personnel and the following steps are followed:
- STAGE 1: Submission of supporting documents to the secretariat
- Control option
- Necessary supporting documents
- Printing of fees in case of overdue inspection
- STAGE 2: Exhaust gas control and vehicle identification
- Vehicle identification (license plates, chassis number, engine number, mileage)
- Vehicle age (in the vehicle categories needed)
- Internal vehicle control (seats, belts, windshields, airbags, steering wheel rim)
- Check for modifications or changes to the vehicle from those listed in the registration certificate
- Tachograph check (in vehicle categories needed)
- Speed limiter control (in the categories of vehicles needed)
- Exhaust gas control
- Tire inspection (pressure, year of manufacture, spare)
- Visibility control (mirrors, windshield wipers, wipers)
- Marking check (in vehicle categories needed)
- Other equipment (pharmacy, emergency triangle, fire extinguisher)
- LPG installation control & natural gas installation
- Tank & chiller inspection (in case of vehicles transporting dangerous goods (adr) & transport of perishable food (atp))
- STAGE 3: Automatic line check
- Convergence-divergence control (alignment)
- Check brake system & parking brake on the brake meter
- Lights control in terms of intensity and inclination
- STAGE 4: Visual inspection of the sighting pit
- Visual inspection of engine & peripheral systems inside the engine compartment (leaks, bearings, cooling system, brake & steering fluid)
- Visual control of steering system (leaks, gambling)
- Visual inspection of the drive system (leaks, gambling)
- Visual inspection of the braking system (leaks, abs, pads, zippers, discs, drums, etc.)
- Visual inspection of suspensions (leaks, breaks, shock absorbers, springs, axles)
- Visual inspection of fuel tank & piping (leaks, oxidations)
- Visual inspection of body (oxidation, damage, bumpers, superstructure, doors, wings, steps)
- Visual exhaust control (leaks, oxidation, catalyst)
- Visual inspection of lights & electrical equipment (dipped-beam headlights, direction indicators, emergency)
- Sound measurement (in the categories of vehicles needed or at the discretion of the controller)
- Special legislative requirements
- STAGE 5: Certificate of control
- Issuance of a technical inspection card
- Paste of technical inspection indicator (EST)
